U.S. import prices drop 0.5% in October on lower fuel prices; export prices fall 0.1%

U.S. import prices dropped 0.5 percent in October, after increasing 0.1 percent in September. The price index for U.S. exports decreased 0.1 percent in October following a 0.2-percent drop in September. Over the last year, import prices dropped 3.0 percent and export prices declined 2.2 percent.
